The history of SteMaTo

SteMaTo is developed by Besco, a company that was founded by Jos Bessemans in 2002. In 2007 of Besco broadened with the analysis of the Central Sterilization Department (CSD) in many large Belgian and Dutch hospitals to ultimately result in a specific software SteMaTo (Sterilization Management Tool). This also leaded to opportunities in international markets.

SteMaTo is still led today by Jos Bessemans together with wife Marie-Rose Tabruyn and son Bert Lantin.

Our vision

We partner with hospitals, healthcare facilities and insurers to help them run their ORs and sterile processing departments transparently. Our SteMaTo software for SPDs empowers them while they track their instruments and manage their sterilisation process. And our instrument tracking tool can be used to check the status and location of instruments at any time by hospital administers to ensure that their patients are in good hands.
